It has clean waters, rock pools to explore at low tide, beach huts to hire, and beach cafes serving hearty breakfasts and home made treats. The cliffs form part of the South Devon coastal footpath and this area of the coast is a World Heritage Site due to the important fossils found here.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Beer is famous for its lace, stone and smuggling and is an ideal resort for families, couples and friends getting together. Enjoy the beach cafes, a fishing trip, a stroll along the coastal footpath or a Devon cream tea! Visit Pecorama or the Beer Quarry Caves or the regency towns of Lyme Regis or Sidmouth.\u00a0 The City of Exeter just a 40 minute drive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Beer is the sort of place that once discovered people fall in love with and return year after year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Beer sits on the SW Coastal footpath within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is part of The Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-122 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cosycotts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Beer5.jpg\" alt=\"Beer5\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 240px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>Local Shopping<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"> There is an excellent selection of pretty local shops in Beer where you can purchase all of your daily needs (village store -opens late,\u00a0 Post Office, off-licence, superb bakery,\u00a0 wonderful deli, selection of tearooms, restaurants, pharmacy, art galleries and antique shops.\u00a0 The shops and eateries specialise in fresh local produce \u2013 why not shop when you arrive!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>Eateries<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"> Beer is blessed with a grand selection of places to eat to appeal to all tastes and pockets, all within a couple of minute\u2019s stroll of Beachcomber!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>Beach Caf\u00e9s<\/strong> &#8211; good local food at reasonable prices. Kennos offers pasta and paninis on the beach, selected evenings in peak season. Take your own wine and plastic glasses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>Beer Fish and Chips<\/strong> \u2013 Takeaway and eat in the cottage garden or sit down in the cafe<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>Woozies Deli<\/strong> \u2013 Great pies and pasties for a picnic,\u00a0 and super choice of deli items<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>The Dolphin<\/strong> \u2013.Good pub food \u2013 and do try the breakfasts with newspapers<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>The Anchor<\/strong> \u2013 The beer garden overlooks Beach and has live music and BBQ\u2019s in peak season.
