Guest Information Covid 19 Beachcomber Cottage

An idyllic and safe location, just 4 minutes stroll from the beach.

beachcomber beach

Beer captured our hearts and imaginations  over 30 years ago and we have been regular visitors ever since. This picture postcard fishing village with a gurgling stream dancing along the main street to the beach, is snuggled in the rolling hills in East Devon’s beautiful coastal scenery and drips nostalgia.

The horseshoe beach is the heart of the village, a natural sun trap surrounded by glistening white cliffs. It has clean waters, rock pools to explore at low tide, beach huts to hire, and beach cafes serving hearty breakfasts and home made treats. The cliffs form part of the South Devon coastal footpath and this area of the Jurassic coast is a World Heritage Site due to the important fossils found here.

Beer is famous for its lace, stone and smuggling and is an ideal resort for families, couples and friends getting together. Enjoy the beach cafes, a fishing trip, a stroll along the coastal footpaths or a Devon cream tea!  Visit Pecorama, the Beer Quarry Caves or the regency towns of Lyme Regis or Sidmouth.  The City of Exeter just a 40 minute drive.
