quaint and bustling village with 7thCentury origins. Iit'
s fine Church is known as the Cathedral of the Peak. Tideswell
regularly wins the Derbyshire Best Kept Village Award and the Britain in Bloom Village Award and is a Conservation Village which lies in the heart of the
Peak District National Park
It
has a superb range of 'local shops', pubs and tearooms, which
specialise in fresh local produce.. It is well placed for
walking with Monsal Dale and Millars Dale close by, and for
exploring the abundance of Peak District attractions. The
towns of Bakewell and Buxton are also close at hand as is
Chatsworth House. Many episodes of Peak Practice have been
filmed locally.
Butterfield Cottage is a pretty double fronted 18th century stone cottage
set on the edge of the village, just five minutes walk from
the centre.It sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms (one with ensuite). It
has lovely rural views and backs on to fields and open spaces.
The kitchen has been refitted March 2008.
