Tideswell's
a
bustling conservation village at the heart of the national
park and regularly wins the Derbyshire Best Kept Village Award and the Britain in Bloom Village Award. It is well located for
walking and exploring the abundance of peak district attractions.
It
has superb local shops, pubs and tearooms, which specialise
delicious local produce. Bakewell and Buxton are close by
as is Chatsworth House. Alton Towers is a 45 min drive. Many
episodes of Peak Practice were filmed locally.
Butterfield Cottage is a pretty 18th century cottage set on the edge
of the village, just five minutes walk from the centre.It
sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms (one with ensuite). It has lovely rural
views and backs on to fields and open spaces.
The kitchen and bathroomshave recently been refitted
and refurbishment of the living areas has just been completed
(Feb 2010) and has included complete redecoration of the cottage,
replacement of the fireplace and installation of a logburner,
new carpets thorughout and new sofas. Pictures will be updated
shortly.
